Grey Skies...

The day is grey, I believe you would say
should you open your eyes to see
but what really is there, is a heart full of care
reflecting His love to you and me

For clever the view, or many words new
should there be something to unhinge
for our lives daily wrought, & nightly ought
for the lives and our appetites binge

But loyal you see, by His love set us free
to be whole and complete as we are!


We tend to view life with our eyes and hearts closed to all that is around us.  We struggle through each new day, hoping that somehow by doing everything the same, life will yield a different outcome.

It simply is not possible.

If you want things to change in your life.  Acknowledge that you can't do it alone.  Embrace our Lord who can accomplish the impossible.  Who longs to walk and talk with us each day.   To do things differently than we used to.  To create a happier, healthier, more capable us!

Open your eyes and see Him there.  Open your ears hear His words of care.   Know that you are loved and have value.

Do not worry so much about the past, what you were or did.  Focus on the now, the future and what His salvation freely gives.

A Small Poem in the Morning hours...

The Sun is rising, the river flows, so goes my soul
It could be light and lovely
or it could be dark, who knows

Each day I awake to smile, will it stay?
Or just fade away?
Until this moment, who can say?

But the depth of me, can't so easily
be judged by whats on my face.

  Our beautiful Sammie is off to the Air Force once we get the call.  We are cherishing our time with her each and every day, knowing that at any moment … she will be off!

It has been a privilege to raise this stinker pot and we can't wait to see all that God has in store for her.

Day in Potsdam with Family

 This was a great day!  Beautiful weather and peaceful walk by the water front after lunch at Eben's Hearth.  Followed by ice cream and a movie at the Roxy.  Great family memories made. 

Saturday Morning joys...

 I awoke this morning planning to have a raw fruit smoothie.  Then I realized our 90 degree weather from Thursday and Friday had been replaced with the lovely, dreary and cold 46 degree weather we are having today.  I was disappointed at first and then I remembered the Potsdam bagels I picked up this week from the bagelry!  Yippee!  One of my Saturday joys…bagels, coffee, crocheting and Perry Mason.  Life is good. :D
